2014 was all about the road and The Kindness of Strangers Tour. The tour took the music of The Brian Travis Band to Cottage Grove, Eugene and Portland Organ; San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Los Angeles and Joshua Tree, California; Grand Junction, Boulder and Denver Colorado; Oklahoma City, Springfield, Hollister, Branson Missouri; and Athens, Georgia.
I look forward to playing more music in 2015 and I have plans to return to the road in the spring and summer. I look forward to writing more songs and finding inspiration in all aspects of my life. Roll on 2015! Happy New Year to all! - BT
Dear friends, fans and BTB supporters,
Brian has been in a very harrowing car accident that happened just 2 days after wrapping up the final show of his Kindness Of Strangers Tour in Hollister Missouri. On the road home back to California while crossing the Will Rogers Turnpike in Oklahoma near Tulsa, Brian lost control of his car and hit the center divider going 70 mph, caught air, flipped, slid upside down across two lanes of highway and ended up in a ditch. He crawled out from under the wreckage through the passenger side window and brushed himself off, plenty shaken up yet only suffering minor scrapes and cuts.
He is thankful to be alive and counting his blessings, but the wreck has cost him his car, destroyed some music equipment and personal belongings and has left him stranded in the middle of the country with no alternate mode of transportation back home. A Go Fund Me page has been set up in an attempt to recover some of what has been lost and to finance alternate travel back to California. If you want to help, please click on this link:http://www.gofundme.com/briantravis
Another way to show support for Brian is to make a donation to his Kindness of Strangers Tour, via paypal here:
or order a CD on the "STORE" page of his website. Sales of his music directly support his efforts in this difficult time. Many thanks and much respect to all. The most important thing for folks to know in all of this is that Brian is alive and safe, and we are grateful for any help.

Hey all, I'm back in LA (refreshed from my 4 month solo acoustic tour of the Pacific Northwest) and the time has finally arrived to present the long awaited screening of the "Siren" music video. I know you all have been waiting a long time, and I am happy to say that the video looks amazing and I assure you it will have been worth the wait.
The night will be part wrap party, part live concert and part going away party (as I will be hitting the road on the second leg of my Kindness of Strangers Tour on April 6th en route to Nashville and will not be returning to LA until August).
The festivities will take place at Bar Lubitsch on Monday, March 31st. The music video screening will be presented by director David Barlia and myself with a few stories on how the video was made, a Q&A with the director, cast and crew followed by an acoustic Brian Travis Band performance.
There will be production art and storyboard art on display and there is ample parking both on the street and in the lot next to the venue. Bar Lubitsch is a very intimate, warm and friendly performance space and is the perfect place to hold this advance fan screening of the "Siren" music video.
The whole evening begins promptly at 8pm. Your presence is requested and appreciated. Again, the video looks glorious and I cannot wait for you all to finally see it!

Announcing "The Brian Travis Kindness of Strangers Tour 2013"!
Brian Travis is embarking on an open ended tour across the bay area this fall/winter to promote the new BTB CD, "The Coyote & The Crow" with the help of fans and supporters. The tour concept is simply this: One Man. One acoustic guitar. A backpack filled with CD's, minimal resources and booking the shows from a laptop while on the road. Brian's goal is to play venues all over the USA on his way to Nashville this spring living only on what people give him in exchange for his performances and the support of fans like you. What you get in return for your support is a weekly Kindness of Strangers Tour video episode which will be uploaded to bt.com once a week so you can keep up with the tour and follow along with Brian as he promotes the tour and his new CD at shows and radio stations all across the bay and beyond.
Go to the News page for more videos of the tour!
The tour will be supported only from donations and contributions from the audiences and from longtime supporters such as yourself.
PLEASE NOTE: In light of the recent tragedy in the Philippines, and inspired by all the donations and acts of kindness that I have received while on the road, I've decided to donate 25% of what folks contribute to The Kindness of Strangers Tour to the Philippine Red Cross to help the victims of the Typhoon. This includes CD sales at ALL my shows as well. In the spirit of giving back and helping those in need, I invite you to support both the efforts of a touring indie musician and Typhoon Hayian relief efforts.
REWARDS: A donation to "tour support" of $20 or more will get you a signed, limited edition full color Kindess of Strangers Tour 2013 poster with all the tour dates once the tour winds down to a close at the end of the year. A contribution of $50 or more will get you the poster plus a custom live CD of your favorite BTB song performed as a stripped down acoustic version to commemorate this rare acoustic one man tour recorded exclusively for you. These rewards will be sent to those who've make a contribution to the tour, shortly after the first leg of the tour wraps up at the end of the year in January 2014.

The BTB return to Santa Barbara!
It's smack dab in the middle of Summer 2013 and The Brian Travis Band are about to embark on two back to back shows in Santa Barbara playing as an acoustic trio! We've re-arranged the material to fit a more stripped down approach and are looking forward to experienceing some rootsy, acoustic magic with you all BTB style!
Check out the Tours Page for more information!
Our first SB appearance is on Thursday, August 1st at Soho Restaurant & Music Club located at 1221 State St #205, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 at 8:45pm. Adam Walker opens at 7:30pm and News of the Fire follow the BTB at 10:30pm.
This will be our first time at this venue and we really could use the support of familiar faces and loved ones at this show. For our LA family and friends, I know it's quite a trek, but it would make a great summer 2013 memory and SB is such a dang gorgeous place to be in the summer! For our long neglected SB friends and fans, we hope you can catch us as this will be our first concert in Santa Barbara since 2006!
We are certainly looking forward to returning to Santa Barbara and I hope (wherever you reside) you decide to join us at Soho and make some summertime magic happen with us!
If you just cannot get enough of the BTB, fear not! We will be performing the very next night (Friday, August 2nd) from 7-10pm at The Cold Spring Tavern located at 5995 Stagecoach Road Santa Barbara, CA 93105. The historic tavern location is a little tricky to find, but well worth the trip up into the Santa Barbara mountains. This venue is absolutely magical and is a destination spot for bikers, families and friends who enjoy a pint of great ale in a woodsy, rootsy setting surrounded by wilderness. It truly is a get-away and an experience that will stay with you long after the night of music is over.
Here are some more detailed directions for The Cold Spring Tavern: Take Hwy 101 to Hwy 154, go up the mountain to the top, then, one mile down the valley side, turn left onto Stagecoach Road. Take a direct right and go down the canyon for about 1 1/2 miles to the Tavern.
We are looking forward to both Santa Barbara appearances and we encourage you all to share the experience with us. They are gonna be shows to remember and it's always so much more fun when *YOU* are there with us!
